Hornsby Shire Council is looking to employ a Casual Bushcare Trainer. This role involves supervising and coordinating the works of some of our Bushcare groups. We have currently 60 Bushcare sites and over 400 volunteers working across various sites and vegetation communities in the Shire. This position will require weekday and weekend availability.

Essential requirements include:

  • Conservation and Land Management-Certificate III
  • 2 years’ experience in supervising bush regeneration sites, staff and/or volunteers
  • Excellent native and weed identification skills
  • Excellent organisation and reporting skills
  • Be physically fit
  • Current Chemcert-AQF3 level
  • Current Senior First Aid
  • White Card
