The Bushland Weed Monitoring Checklist has been modified from one developed and used by Ku-ring-gai Municipal Council for assessing the level of weeds in bushland, and mapping their location.

The checklist enables users to report on the type and extent of weed invasion, and highlights the main reasons for weed invasion at the site.

The first step involved is to map weed zones on the site, based on topography, weed type and abundance.  This weed assessment method should be carried out in each zone of the site, and involves a number of steps, detailed below.
