All volunteers have a right to have their confidential and personal information dealt with in accordance with the principles of the national Privacy Act 1988 and Privacy Regulations 2001.

Before using a photograph of volunteers and community members in a publication, report, submission, newspaper article, website or any other form of publicity, ask their permission (a permission slip can be signed before the photo is taken). For children, get the signed permission of an adult guardian before a photograph is taken.
