Accident report forms need to be on hand at each work day in case a volunteer or community member has an accident, injury, bite, sting etc. Written reports on accidents usually need to be completed and submitted immediately (within 1-2 working days) after the accident has occurred.

Written documentation of accidents or injuries is normally required for insurance, medical and legal claims. Check if there is already an accident reporting procedure and form for paid staff in your organisation and use the same for the volunteers.
