Together we make a bigger difference!
PricewaterhouseCoopers people traded their suits for a pair of shorts for the day to work side by side with disadvantaged teenagers, collaboratively supporting their local environment. The team was made up of PwC staff and partners and teenagers from McIntosh House, a high school run by the Youth Off The Streets charity. The team spent the day at Burraneer Park in Woolooware, clearing the bushland of weeds and rubbish.

The day not only supported the environment, but also helped the young people to understand the value of showing generosity to others, which is an important part of Youth Off The Streets work. Father Chris Riley, the charity's founder says "working alongside business role models from PwC is a valuable part of their personal development".

The learning wasn't all one way. "The day was a very worthwhile and enriching experience. It was great to interact with the Youth Off The Streets kids and contribute to improving the state of the environment" Steven Carey, Manager, PwC Sydney

After the success of this project, the PwC Foundation aims to organise similar activities with other charity partners.
