ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for enthusiastic Bush Regenerators to join our long-term ecological restoration projects across Gold Coast, Brisbane and Brisbane West regions. These projects focus on regenerating high-value biodiversity areas and creating healthier ecosystems for future generations.

As a Bush Regenerator, you’ll work hands-on in the field, applying proven ecological restoration techniques to protect and enhance native habitats. You’ll travel to diverse and sometimes rugged locations, contributing to meaningful environmental outcomes every day.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Carry out bush regeneration activities, including weed control and revegetation.
  • Apply a variety of ecological restoration techniques, including safe herbicide use.
  • Assist with planting native species and maintaining biodiversity.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely, following Ecosure’s safety protocols.
  • Communicate effectively with your team and supervisors.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A reliable team player with a genuine passion for ecological restoration.
  • Preparedness to grow your skills and learn and adopt new work practices, systems and procedures.
  • Ability to travel to remote and challenging environments.
  • Experience with weed control and herbicide application (or willingness to learn).
  • Knowledge of native flora and safe use of field equipment.
  • Physically fit and capable of fieldwork.
  • Driver’s Licence (4WD experience is a bonus).
  • Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

DESIRABLE CERTIFICATIONS (OR WILLINGNESS TO OBTAIN):

  • First Aid/CPR
  • Chainsaw ticket
  • Chemcert or ACDC certification
  • Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management
