ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Bush Regenerator Supervisor to join our ecological restoration projects across the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Brisbane West regions. These long-term initiatives focus on regenerating high biodiversity areas and protecting native landscapes.

In this dynamic leadership role, you’ll guide and mentor a field team, applying best-practice ecological restoration techniques to enhance and preserve natural ecosystems. You’ll coordinate operations across remote and rugged sites, ensuring quality outcomes while making a meaningful difference on the ground.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Plan and lead field teams in implementing weed control and revegetation across multiple sites.
  • Apply best-practice weed management techniques in line with current legislation.
  • Provide ecological expertise, supporting identification of native vegetation and management of invasive species.
  • Oversee operational logistics, including equipment coordination and safety compliance.
  • Engage with co-workers and clients to build strong relationships through clear communication.
  • Lead revegetation efforts, focusing on planting and nurturing native flora to support ecosystem recovery.
  • Support broader bush regeneration activities as needed across diverse project sites.
  • Represent Ecosure with professionalism and purpose.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Minimum Certificate III in Conservation and Ecosystem Management or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience leading field teams in ecological restoration projects.
  • Strong skills in identifying Queensland flora (native and exotic species).
  • Successful experience applying ecological restoration and revegetation techniques.
  • High physical fitness and ability to handle the demands of fieldwork.
  • Commitment to safety and promoting Ecosure’s safety culture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid manual driver’s licence and 4WD experience.
  • Comfortable working in and navigating remote areas.
  • Willingness to expand your knowledge and undertake further study to grow your leadership and technical skills.

ESSENTIAL CERTIFICATIONS (OR WILLINGNESS TO OBTAIN):

  • Police Check
  • ChemCert or ACDC certification
  • First Aid/CPR certification
  • Chainsaw ticket
  • Competent with using computer systems and apps.
