The Brush Turkey Enterprises Wholesale Nursery is one of the largest and most diverse native nurseries on the Sunshine Coast “We not only strive for the greatest diversity of local native plants, but also to produce a quality of stock that we would be happy to use on our own projects” said Karen Shaw of BTE. Our nursery specialises in the supply of the quality local native plants, for medium to large planting projects (our minimum quantity for an order being 100 tubestock). The Forest Heart Eco-Nursery (Retail) is located in Maleny on the Sunshine Coast Hinterland and focuses on the supply of local native plants for residential applications. This new venture for Brush Turkey Enterprises opened in 2015 with a goal of supplying local native and other native alternatives to the usual exotic mix of plants supplied to the residential market. www.forestheart.com.au
Consultancy
Spencer Shaw has two decades of experience in practical ecological restoration work, with a speciality in the rainforest ecosystems of SE QLD. Our consultancy work includes the provision of Landscape/Revegetation Plans for Development Applications, Native Flora Surveys, Environmental Weed Surveys and Restoration Management Plans, Bushland Condition Mapping and other property management plans. Education
At the heart of our business is our education focus through our nurseries, consultancy and presentations. Education workshops are run for the general public at Forest Heart Eco-Nursery and at a range of other seminars & workshops covering specialities such as Bush Regeneration, Wildlife Friendly Backyards and Horticulture, Bush Foods, Successional Weed Management, Native Flora and Revegetation.
