Hat Head Holiday while volunteering
May 24 - May 31
| FreeHat Head Dune Care was the birthplace of coastal dune care in Australia in 1987.
The community group has continued successfully to regenerate and maintain the dune vegetation since, thereby protecting the village of Hat Head from incursion by the sea.
With a very small and aging population it is becoming harder to continue our work, so we are inviting volunteers from other areas to enjoy our natural beauty while helping us preserve it.
Hat Head is renowned for its beaches, fishing, snorkelling, bushwalking and access to Hat Head National Park. There are several villages and small towns nearby including Gladstone, South West Rocks and Arakoon, as well as historic sites such as Trial Bay Goal.
