Regeneration by Design 40th Anniversary T-shirt competition
Help us put 40 years of bush regeneration on a T-shirt! AABR is inviting everyone to get creative and design our official 40th Anniversary T-shirt, celebrating the people, places and practice of bush regeneration. Entries close 30 October 2026, with a great prize for the winning designer.
Entries close 30 October 2026
For 40 years, the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators (AABR) has connected people committed to the practice, science and spirit of bush regeneration. To celebrate this milestone, we’re inviting you to help put 40 years of regeneration on a T-shirt.
We’re looking for an original design that celebrates AABR’s 40th anniversary and the people, places and practice of bush regeneration.
You don’t need to be a graphic designer to enter. We’re looking for a great idea and a strong design. The winning entry will be professionally prepared for printing.
Who can enter?
The competition is open to everyone. Individuals may submit a design through the online competition entry form by 30 October 2026.
The Prize
The winning design will become the official AABR 40th Anniversary T-shirt, produced to celebrate 40 years of AABR and bush regeneration.
The winning designer will receive:
- Two tickets to the AABR 4040 Forum & Social on 27 November 2026
- Two AABR 40th Anniversary T-shirts featuring their winning design
- recognition as the winning designer
- their design showcased at the 4040 Forum and through AABR’s website, social media and other communications.
The design brief
Your design should:
- celebrate AABR’s 40th anniversary
- reflect AABR, bush regeneration and/or the people and places involved in ecological restoration
- incorporate the AABR icon and brand elements (AABR name and tagline) in either square or rectangle format so that it is legible
- use the AABR Style Guide as the basis for the colour palette
- work effectively on the front of a white T-shirt
- be engaging, distinctive and easy to recognise
There is plenty of room for interpretation. Your design might look back at where bush regeneration has come from, celebrate the people and practice that have shaped it, capture what regeneration means, or look towards the next 40 years.
