Using iNaturalist

Fishponds waterhole

iNaturalist and bush regeneration. Petra Holland tells us about iNaturalist and it’s value for bush regenerators and how Hornsby Council use it.

iNaturalist is revolutionising bush regeneration, from tracking invasive weeds to running global bioblitzes. Join the Great Southern Bioblitz 2025 and help document the biodiversity of the southern hemisphere

Join in The Great Southern Bioblitz: 24-27 October 2025

The Great Southern Bioblitz is back in October 2025! Using iNaturalist, nature lovers across the southern hemisphere will document thousands of species in just four days — a celebration of biodiversity powered by citizen science.

Having Fun with iNaturalist Kate Watson, AABR Member and iNaturalist addict.inaturalist contributions

iNaturalist is more than an app — it’s a global community linking citizen science with conservation. From echidna counts to habitat tree mapping, Kate Watson shows how iNaturalist empowers regenerators to record, learn, and connect.

Collecting and recording data using iNaturalist and with input from others

A landmark biodiversity survey at Duck River recorded more than 400 species with the help of iNaturalist. This citizen science project shows how technology and community come together to protect urban bushland.
