Parsley Bay – Council caring for the bush

Parsley Bay Reserve is a narrow inlet of Sydney Harbour.
We acknowledge the Gadigal and Birrabirragal people as the traditional custodians of the land in our local area.
Join regular volunteers in bushcare under the guidance of Council’s experienced Bushcare Liaison Officer, Rudi Adlmayer. Thursday 23 March 9am-12pm.
Parsley Bay has a steep gully with a natural watercourse is covered with dense vegetation, some pristine other degraded or even with overgrown native plants yet home to the endangered Acacia terminalis subsp. Eastern Sydney
As well as herons and crabs, water dragons, brush turkeys, Powerful owls, microbats including Myotis, the fish-eating microbat!
Woollahra Council continues to support bush regeneration in the gully and protection of the waterway and the citizen science Seahorse monitoring program.
Wear long-sleeved shirt, long pants, covered shoes, bring water bottle, insect repellant, and sunscreen. For after bushcare, bring swimmers and a snorkel.
Meeting Point
Meet at the Kiosk at the end of Horler Avenue, Vaucluse.
Accessible by public transport: e.g. bus 325 with stops near railway stations (Wynyard, Town Hall, Kings Cross, and Edgecliff). Alight at Fitzwilliam Road at Parsley Road for the narrow path leading to the footbridge, cross the footbridge, turn right, down the pathway to the lawn for meeting at the Kiosk.
Capacity is 15 lucky bush regenerators
