Following on from an informative webinar on What Can Drones Do, AABR has planned a field day demonstrating the capacity of drones in bushland management for Friday 11th February, 9am-noon at Hexham Wetlands, Hunter Wetlands National Park (NSW).

Phil Milling of Sky & Land Management will be providing a drone demonstration and an overview of the potential and practical use of drones in bushland management.

He will be discussing how drones have changed the way his business operates, the economics, safety and potential uses of drones such as for precision weed management on aquatic and culturally sensitive sites or steep areas, along with scanning and monitoring applications such as mapping and reporting using imagery.

The field day will include a demonstration of how drones were used to manage Juncus acutus infestation in the Hexham Wetlands, a Hunter LLS, National Parks project.

Land Managers from Hunter Local Land Services and National Parks will be on hand to add to the discussion and provide insights as to how they are using drones and the impact they are making on their land management practices.

There’ll be plenty of time for discussion around the potential uses for drones and an opportunity to catch up with local practitioners.
